Audi India increased ex-showroom prices of all its models by 3% citing increases in transportation and input costs. The new prices be effective from January 1, 2025.
“The correction is essential for Audi India and our dealer partners to ensure sustainable growth. We remain committed to minimising the impact of the price hike on our valued customers,” said Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India in a statement released on Monday (December 2, 2024).
The increase in price of each model will be announced in January 2025. This is the third luxury auto brand after Mercedes Benz and BMW to have implemented a price rise.
The price rise assumes significance as Audi India is expected to see a slight slump in sales going by the numbers. The German luxury car maker sold 3,389 units in nine months ending September 30 2024 according to the company’s statement. This number was 5,530 units in the same period in 2023. The slump comes on the back of a general slowdown in sales in the automobile sector.
