Styled by Danielle Goldberg, Irish actress Saoirse Ronan walked the red carpet of Gothams' 34th Annual Film Awards wearing a couture gown from Italian fashion house Schiaparelli.
Designed by Creative Director Daniel Roseberry, the Fall-Winter 2024/2025 bustier dress features a dusty brown wool satin enhanced with tonal 3D thorn embroidery and satin rose embroidery at the neckline.
Celebrating indie filmmakers, the Gotham Awards are a seen as an unofficial jumping point for awards season, often celebrating predicted Oscar contenders.
30-year-old star Ronan is nominated for 'Outstanding Lead Performance' thanks to her role in Nora Fingscheidt's The Outrun.
The nomination puts her up against an astounding line-up of competitiors including Pamela Anderson (The Last Showgirl), Adrien Brody (The Brutalist), Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Hard Truths), Nicole Kidman (Babygirl), Keith Kupferer (Ghostlight), Mikey Madison (Anora), Demi Moore (The Substance) and Justice Smith (I Saw the TV Glow).
An outlier of awards season, the annual ceremony made headlines in 2021 when they adjusted their categories for acting awards to no longer be defined by gender.
Instead, there are 10 actors nominated for lead performance, and another 10 up for supporting performances. Winners are chosen by small committees of film professionals, critics and journalists.
This year's Gothams will see a total of 10 competitive categories presented, along with a series of tributes that include honorees such as Angelina Jolie (Performer Tribute), Timothée Chalamet and James Mangold (Visionary Tribute), Zendaya (Spotlight Tribute) and A24's Sing Sing (Social Justice Tribute).
