6 things to do in Dublin this weekend (Dec 5-8)

From the country's biggest craft fair taking place in the RDS, to Christmas markets in the Fumbally, there is plenty to be doing in Dublin this weekend.

Gifted, The Contemporary Craft and Design Fair, is set to create a new Christmas tradition among visitors when it return to the RDS from December 4-8. Ireland's biggest Christmas craft, design and artisan food fair allows visitors to meet the makers, take part in workshops, attend book signings and shop for vintage clothes. Running from December 6-8 at the Fumbally Stables, this cosy indoor Christmas market will feature rotating stalls of food producers, artists, independent crafters and creatives. Hard of Hearing Tour

The National Gallery of Ireland is hosting a free tour for those that are hard of hearing on Thursday, December 5. Running from 5:30pm - 6:30pm, the tour highlights some of the Gallery's permanent collection. On Saturday, 7 December, Alternative Dublin are hosting a neon painting class from 4pm - 6pm. Taking place at the Pawn Shop on Dame Street, the class is open to every level, with the team taking each person step-by-step through their UV masterpiece. Tickets cost €29.93 and materials are included.

Swap Till You Drop

Refresh your wardrobe for free in a sustainable way with the Tallaght Sustainable Fashion Collective. On Friday, 6 December, the swap shop will take place in Rua Red from 2pm - 9pm. Suitable for ages 18 and over, there is a €5 entry fee with proceeds going to Palestine Emergency Campaign. There will be tea, coffee and some biscuits as well as live DJ's spinning tunes. Christmas Ceramics Market

On Saturday, December 7, Throwing Shapes are hosting a ceramics market in their studio on Mill Street in Dublin 8. From 11am-4pm, there will be 40 potters showcasing and selling their wares as well as bakes from the Breadman Walking micro-bakery, flowers from Hopeless Botanics and music from the Shamrock Showband.
